While an Amazon Prime subscription seems to offer more value overall and Hulu Plus is a whole dollar cheaper, Netflix has the best selection as far as streaming is concerned with the largest library of movies and back-catalog TV shows. While Amazon Instant Video has newer content, they’re most likely not part of the Prime catalog. Similarly, Hulu Plus may offer more recent TV programming, but Netflix will not bother you with ads. Plus, Netflix is the home of the most talked about shows today. Its commitment to producing high-quality original content such as the critically-acclaimed House of Cards gives it the edge over the rest. Both Amazon and Netflix have invested in 4K programming, but Netflix is first to stream in 4K. It’s only downside is the Netflix experience on Android, which is (currently) limited to 480p.
