DRONES, GROCERIES AND THE CIA

HWM (Singapore) - - THINK -

‘Relentless’ was one of the choices Bezos considered when re-naming his company, and it might have better suited Bezos’ personality, but eventually he settled on Amazon, a choice which seemed strange to many, but one with implications that Bezos could certainly appreciate – the Amazon is, after all, the widest river in the world. Like the Amazon River’s 1100 tributaries, Bezos’ company continues to expand into new territory, most prominently setting its sights on consumer technology, with Amazon-branded tablets already on the market, and its new Fire Phone available soon. But Bezos isn’t stopping there. In a recent letter to stockholders, he shared details of some of Amazon’s most ambitious projects to date, among them, aerial drone delivery, fresh groceries and cloud services for the CIA.
