Guests and VIPs entered a world of beauty, dreams and enchantment with the opening of Van Cleef & Arpels’ new ION Orchard boutique on Nov 25, 2015. The 165 sq m store was lavishly decorated with plush furnishings and nature-inspired designs. But none of these fancy trappings could outshine the brand’s elegant, iconic jewellery – the Ballerina and Fairy clips, and the Alhambra, Perlée and Flowers collections – gracefully displayed in curved showcases and domed receptacles.
In celebration of the new boutique, Van Cleef & Arpels also unveiled its Cadenas exhibition. The Cadenas watch collection, first launched in 1935, has a bold and timeless design that looks up-to-theminute even 80 years later. The showcase also brought together other timepieces, jewels and precious objects influenced by modernist artistic movements between 1925 and 1938, such as Cubism, Constructivism and Abstractionism.
