THE RAREST STEEL
The Patek Philippe Ref. 1518 stainless steel wristwatch broke the record for watch auction sales prices in November last year. It was sold at over USD11 million at the Geneva Watch Auction: Four, an event organised by Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo. Made in 1943, the Ref. 1518 stainless steel watch was the first ever perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch to be produced in a series. It also features a moon phase indicator.
