Anatomy of Le Sac 11 by Giorgio Armani

Supremely practical and elegant, Le Sac 11 perfectly captures Mr Armani’s love for Paris and the magic number.

Le Sac 11 celebrates Armani’s 40th anniversary and serendipity: the double digit is the date of his birthday and the number of the brand’s historical headquarters in Milan. Talk about a happy coincidence.

While the camel calfskin is classic understated Armani styling, this season sees the addition of beige, blue and red options in deerskin and pony hair for a touch of adventure. The timeless boxy silhouette makes for a great roomy work bag and a dressy-enough evening option.

Subtle finishes round up Le Sac 11’s elegance. Its hardware is muted and happily scant, letting the leather shine and take centre stage. The symmetry and balance of the bag recalls that of the number 11, most notably on the softly textured top handles.

The bag is a special anniversary project by Giorgio Armani and will be sold exclusively at only 15 boutiques worldwide. Armani/marina Bay is fortunate enough to be the only store in South-east Asia stocking Le Sac 11, with only one piece in each colour and size available.

Mr Armani chose not to plaster his name on the bag, opting for a discrete label on the inside. The bag – an assuredly timeless classic – can speak for itself, and we have a sneaking sense that it’s already made its way into your closet.
