It was an evening of heritage and royal alliances, as Italian jeweller Damiani launched its Romanov collection, a collaboration with Italian actress Nicoletta Romanoff, a direct descendant of the
Tsars. As renowned electric violinist Dennis Lau bowed fervently that evening on 13 April at the Grand Hyatt, 20 pieces from two sub-collections – entitled
Fiori d’arancio and Fiocco – were presented, including the collection’s crowning glory, the Masterpiece Sveva Tiara made of white gold and set with 4,500 diamonds and 83 Akoya pearls. Guests partook of a five-course dinner prepared by Chef Soren Lascelles and Russian-themed desserts courtesy of
Chef Gottfried Schuetzenberger.
