Hot and haute
Call us thick-skinned but we really think that the Dior Prestige La Crème Texture Légère ($505) was concocted for us here on the equator. Why? This lighter version of the iconic Dior Prestige La Crème is made for hot and humid climates which can trigger nasty changes in skin, including dilated pores, water loss, sebum production and so on. As a result, such skin is dehydrated on the inside but feels sticky and looks greasy on the outside – which describes most of us in Singapore, really. What the Dior scientists did for La Crème Texture Légère was to retain the regenerative benefits of the Rose de Granville but add a duo of polymers that form a breathable mesh on skin. These polymers are said to help skin breathe naturally, letting moisture evaporate from it yet hydrating it all day long. Of course, a lighter formula means a lighter texture – think an air-whipped consistency that won’t have you feeling all sticky when the mercury rises.
