STEEL GOING STRONG

Men's Folio (Singapore) - - Time -

If the excitement surrounding Rolex’s new stainless steel Daytona is anything to go by, it’s finally time for the modest metal to shine. Which makes sense, given the industry’s foreboding mood – brands are turning to the evergreen material to push timepieces that were previously out of reach for most. The steel Daytona, for example, is finally paired with a black Cerachrom bezel, a detail that’s so far only available to precious metal variants. Several complicated timepieces are also presented in steel including Blancpain’s Villeret Annual Calendar GMT and Chopard’s L.U.C Perpetual Twin.
