IS IT AGAINST THE LAW TO OFFER ADVICE ON DIET OR NUTRITION WITHOUT A LICENCE?

– Jeremy

According to the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association, there are no registration or licensing requirements for one to offer advice on diet or nutrition in Singapore, says Samuel Seow, managing director of Samuel Seow Law Corporation. But giving advice negligently may expose you to legal liability. If your negligent misstatement causes one to suffer personal injury, you may be said to have breached your duty of care towards him or her.
