Why it’s smart to stick to one or two drinks (and no more!) every day.
Researchers studied nearly 45,000 men to look for a link between their drinking habits and their risk of death in the next five to 20 years. Turns out, exceeding about 1.6 drinks a day erases any alcohol-related health benefit and increases mortality risk. But if you stop drinking, some liver damage may be reversible within six to 12 months.
