A Spectacle to Behold
Tony Watts makes a trip to the Goodwood Revival and is awed by the cars in attendance.
Wraith went on a tour of India last August, making stops in major cities that included New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
The tour provided customers with a chance to see the elegant coupé up close, and Yadur Kapur, Director for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars New Delhi, was confident that the car would be a hit in the country.
He said: “Wraith represents a magnificent milestone for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. I foresee it appealing to a new segment of Indian customers who value driving in style and comfort but want effortless performance.”
Wraith has a powerful twin-turbo V12 engine that is complemented with an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission. The coupé can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in an impressive 4.6 seconds.
Finished in Diamond Black lower and Silver Sand upper paint, this two-tone presentation of the India- touring Wraith complements the car’s sweeping fastback design.
Advances in mechanical and electrical technology have also enabled the marque to deliver systems like a head-up display, adaptive headlights and a keyless opening boot.
Camera systems will come as standard in all Wraith models, in addition to voice-activation commands and the Spirit of Ecstasy rotary controller, which allows navigation through on-screen functions using a touch pad.
Sharad Kachalia, Director of Sales and Marketing, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Mumbai, said: “I am very pleased to have this car in Mumbai. The sense of power, style and drama fits our fashionable and metropolitan city well. It complements the rest of the Rolls-Royce range perfectly.”
