Can De­sign Re­ally Save The World?

De­sign­ers demon­strate their gift for stop­ping re­cur­ring, mun­dane prob­lems of what­ever size or form

En­trants to the Golden Pin De­sign Awards, a com­pe­ti­tion for de­sign­ers tar­get­ing the Chi­nese speak­ing mar­ket, are aim­ing to solve ev­ery day co­nun­drums with their inim­itable style

De­sign­ers par­tic­i­pat­ing in the an­nual Golden Pin De­sign Award 20 18 have handed in an in­cred­i­ble ar­ray of de­sign pro­to­types that re­flect the de­sign zeit­geist. Hail­ing from dif­fer­ent coun­tries across the globe, they pro­pose de­sign driven prob­lem solv­ing that can elim­i­nate mun­dane prob­lem or slow down, if not stop com­pletely, the degra­da­tion of the planet.

Golden Pin De­sign Award is the long­est run­ning in­ter­na­tional de­sign award that cel­e­brates prod­ucts or projects ex­pressly cre­ated for and within huaren (Chi­nese speak­ing) com­mu­ni­ties, of­fer­ing en­trants an un­prece­dented op­por­tu­nity to prove their prow­ess in the worlds largest mar­ket.

With the an­nounce­ment of Best De­sign win­ners slated for the end of Novem­ber, of­fi­cial in­ter­na­tional me­dia part­ner Port­fo­lio of­fers a first glimpse of some of this years most ex­cit­ing en­tries.
