Kwee, together with his three brothers, owns privately held luxury property developer Pontiac Land. The Kwees are Asia’s 39th richest family and their latest foray into the US residential market marks a first for Singapore developers. The planned 82-level luxury condominium — 53W53 tower — in Manhattan is located beside the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and holds 139 apartments, which cost between $4.3 million and more than $100.42 million.
