sixty years in the fine jewellery industry and eponymous jewellery designer and goldsmith, Ole Lynggaard, has never suffered a drought in his creativity. “As a designer, I feel inspired all the time. It seems a perpetual stream,” he says. “I always use all my senses and take in as many impressions as I possibly can, no matter where I go.”

Since its humble beginnings in 1963, the brand has expanded exponentially with a dedicated team of 130 employees working at four flagship stores. The success is attributed to the unwavering passion of Lynggaard, who made an imprint on the trade with his innovative approach to jewellery making, such as his revolutionary hidden clasp locks.

In spite of the global standards the Danish luxury brand has attained, Lynggaard credits the company’s success to strong family ties and values. By passing his company down to his children — Søren (CEO) and Charlotte (creative director) — his Scandinavian roots continue to shape and define the brand’s business culture.

Stepping into her father’s shoes as the company’s creative director in 1992, Charlotte turns to Mother Nature as her constant source of inspiration, just as her father had done since the brand’s inception. “Everything I feel passionate about can somehow be traced back to nature,” she says. “I adore observing the constant change in nature, this eternal circle of life.”

From a tiny flower bud seconds away from full bloom, to the lumbering pace of an elephant, the strength of nature is drawn, with its beauty imparted into the brand’s jewellery designs. Ensuring that wearability is never compromised, the collections are always crafted to exude fearless femininity, uncontrived luxury and bohemian beauty.

With 50 years of heritage and time-honoured craftsmanship, the brand has garnered international recognition, while still bearing the humble story of a family business founded by a man of great vision.
