Sanlorenzo SL102 Asymmetric

Robb Report Singapore - - Perfect 10 -

Making its debut at the boatmaker’s 60th anniversary celebrations in La Spezia in May was the Sanlorenzo SL102, with its name denoting its overall length of 31m.

But less than half a year later, Sanlorenzo is gifting the yachting world a variant of the SL102, the SL102 Asymmetric. Boasting a unique asymmetric interior design courtesy of Chris Bangle (yes, that Bangle), though it should be noted that this doesn’t make the boat look unbalanced, such is the subtlety of its asymmetry.

Sanlorenzo says not having a symmetrical interior maximises space, with the reduced side deck on the starboard side allowing for a wider deck area on the port side, adding up to 10sqm of interior space.

Only having made its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival a couple of months ago, the SL102 Asymmetric has already found several buyers. One example was recently sold in Asia, with the buyer represented by Simpson Marine. www.simpsonma
