A meal built around whole grains will fill you up, keep you slim, and boost your heart health. In ad­di­tion to the brown rice, cous­cous and quinoa in these bowls, try mil­let (a very fine-grained ce­real) or spelt (dried wheat with a sweet, nutty flavour). Just like rice, most are brought to a boil, then sim­mered un­til the liq­uid is ab­sorbed. For a flavour boost, sub­sti­tute some of the wa­ter with stock or wine.
