In 2011, Zac took part in the Penang half marathon without training for it. He ran fast for the first 10km, and then limped his way to

the end. “Having someone to lead me would have helped me manage my pace at that time,” says the 33-year-old. “The experience made me realise that I wanteed to do the same for others.”

This is Zac’s first time as a Shape Run pacer. I enjoy running because… It’s me-time, plus I can do it anytime, anywhere.

Women who run are… Inspiring. They exhibit strength in mind and body. The first thing I notice about a female runner is… Her form. One look and I

can tell whether she’s a strong runner or not. Sporty women are sexy because… They’ve got a naturally healthy, sun-kissed glow. An active lifestyle also shows that she cares about herself. My best advice to a first-time runner is… Tackle the race one kilometre at a

time. Focus on short-term achievements like the next water point!
