Time to ditch that all-or-nothing at­ti­tude! When it comes to ex­er­cise, ev­ery sec­ond counts. Re­cent re­search in the UK found that women who did 60 to 120 sec­onds of high-in­ten­sity, weight-bear­ing ac­tiv­ity – such as run­ning – ev­ery day had four per cent bet­ter bone health than those who clocked less than a minute. Need­less to say, the ben­e­fits in­creased the more they ex­er­cised. No time for a proper work­out? Run up and down the stairs, or do a speed skip­ping sesh.
