A new study in the Jour­nal of the Amer­i­can Med­i­cal As­so­ci­a­tion finds that low-carb and low-fat eat­ing work equally well, as long as the fo­cus is on qual­ity: more veg­eta­bles and whole foods and less added sugar, re­fined flour, and trans fats. And worry less about calo­ries. Par­tic­i­pants were told only to eat as lit­tle carbs and fat as they could with­out feel­ing hun­gry or de­prived.
