Simply Her (Singapore) - - Cover Reads - BY SIMONE WU

Matte skin, black-lined eyes and berry lips for your head-turning look this season.

1 Velvety Matte Skin

Take a break from dewy skin and opt for a velvety, matte complexion that looks flawless and almost airbrushed. But as a matte look can make your features seem flat, you’ll need a little contouring – don’t worry, it’s easy – to make your face look three-dimensional.

3 Sweep blusher between the highlighted and bronzed areas. Blend well.

3 For a complexion that

looks airbrushed, choose bronzers and blushers with a matte nish, says makeup

artist Larry Yeo.

HOW TO DO IT

1 1 After liquid or compact foundation, apply a bronzer or shading powder to contour your face. Gently brush it from the outer eye corners towards the temples, from under your cheeks to your ears, along the sides of your nose and along your jaw line.

2 2 Apply highlighter on top of your cheekbones, above your upper lip and along the upper half of your nose bridge.
