Simply Her (Singapore) - - Smartshopper Road Test -

$549, from major electrical stores SPECIFICATIONS 18.1-megapixel resolution, 20x optical zoom, 3-inch touch screen, Wi-Fi enabled. SIZE The rubberised hand grip fitted nicely in my hand, and at 198g, it’s the second-lightest. USING IT This was the only one with a touch screen – navigating the menu and focusing were a breeze as I didn’t have to click a button several times to scroll through the options. I could use the dial on top to pick a shooting mode easily. PERFORMANCE I zoomed in on people about 10m away and still got a decently clear image. At 20x optical zoom, words and pictures on a noticeboard 7m away came out distinct but slightly grainy. My photos had clean and realistic colours, even when taken in auto mode. EFFECTS This camera has the most filters – 14, including toy-camera (darkens edges of images), miniature (blurs the sides of photos) and monochrome. My favourite was the retro effect, which gives photos a soft, vintage look. VERDICT A clear winner that produces sharp and naturallooking shots, and boasts an array of fun filters.
