A per­fectly pressed shirt in five min­utes sounds in­cred­i­ble, but with a lit­tle prac­tice, it can be done. Fol­low

th­ese steps:


Turn the shirt in­side out, with the yoke (back of the shirt) over the end of the iron­ing board, and iron from the shoul­ders down.


Turn the shirt over to iron the front, do­ing the but­ton side first. Use the tip of the iron to press the fab­ric around the but­tons – not over them – to get a crisp fin­ish and avoid dam­ag­ing

the but­tons.


Lay one sleeve flat on the

iron­ing board with the cuff open. Pull on the cuff to stretch and straighten the fab­ric, and iron from the shoul­der seam down to the cuff. Re­peat with

the other sleeve.


Us­ing the tip of the iron, press the back of the col­lar, then the front.


Press the in­sides of the cuffs, then the out­sides. And you’re
