WHAT IS A SLOW JUICER?

Simply Her (Singapore) - - Smartshopper | Road Test -

A slow juicer uses a large plastic screwlike gear, called an auger, to crush fruit, in contrast to the metal blades of a regular centrifugal juicer. The crushing action releases nutrients and vitamins into the juice but slows down oxidation as less foam is produced. Contrary to its name, a slow juicer takes as long as a regular juicer to extract the juice but generates less heat, which also helps to preserve nutrients better.
