Mis­matched fur­ni­ture, mir­rors and dim light­ing lend this French gas­tro­bar an eclec­tic, some­what mys­te­ri­ous, vibe. The couches are per­fect for in­ti­mate con­ver­sa­tions over cock­tails and plat­ters of cold cuts and tartines (open-faced sand­wiches).

The “Vin­tage” Mon­sieur ($18) packs creamy bechamel, Em­men­tal cheese and ham in be­tween black olive cia­batta toast, topped with even more Em­men­tal – it can feed two.

The Mix of Smoked Fishes and Mar­i­nated Seafood ($38) with bread and ca­pers is an aquatic spin on cold cuts, show­cas­ing smoked salmon, trout, had­dock, her­ring and an­chovies, in­stead of the usual cured meats.

The Mo­jito “V” Style ($14) is a well-bal­anced blend of spiced rum, brown su­gar, lime, strawberry and a hint of gin­ger liqueur.
