Jolyn Wong, a dietitian from Dayspring Corporate Wellness, was invited by UITC to share her tips on working with fussy eaters: 1. Be their role model. Children love to imitate, so even if you don’t like vegetables, pretend that you do and eat them anyway.
2. Start slow. Introduce wholegrains with soft meal bread, or mix brown rice with white rice. High-fibre grains help relieve constipation and lower cholesterol levels.
3. Get creative. Make fruit jelly with diluted juice, arrange fun fruit sticks or hide vegetables inside dumplings. To get kids to drink more water, add an orange slice to flavour it.
