Start winding the clock back to your kids’ regular bedtimes. They’re likely to have slept late – and slept in – all through December. Have them pretend they’re in a different time zone. So instead of eating at 7.30pm, you’re now eating at 6pm. Instead of sleeping at 11pm, it’s now 9.30pm. Give them a longer run-up to bedtime, to help them settle down.
