“Regular housework keeps me fit”
“I usually clean the house twice a week and the bathrooms, once a week. I make sure I sweep, mop and wipe everything down as hard and fast as I can, since the chores count as my weekly cardiovascular workout.
Once a month, I get down on my hands and knees, and clean the floor using a rag instead of a mop. This really tones my arms and gets my heart rate up. My overall health and fitness have certainly improved since I started making more effort with the housework. I used to complain that having kids left me with very little time to exercise, but that’s no longer an excuse!” – Daisy Teh, 40, language consultant
