A WEEKEND BONANZA
It was gifts and deals galore at the annual Beauty and Bridal Fair, held last November. BY AZLINDA SAID
It was a bustling weekend from Nov 8 to 10, when readers flocked to Marina Square for the Beauty and Bridal Fair 2013.
Hours before the fair opened, eager beavers had formed a queue in the hopes of being one of the first to score fantastic goodie bags or prizes upon buying or subscribing to Simply Her, Her World, Female, Nuyou or Shape magazines. By the time the fair opened at 11am, the queue had snaked halfway around the atrium.
Up for grabs: some 24 subscription gifts worth up to $1,099, including a Sharp Healsio water oven, skincare products, a Timex watch, Goldheart jewellery and more. Visitors who bought the November issue of the five magazines, or the September issue of Her World Brides, at the fair, received a goodie bag worth over $30, for each magazine purchased.
Another bonus: the first 500 readers to present four redemption coupons on Nov 10 from the November 2013 issues of Simply Her, Her World, Female, Nuyou, or Shape received a free Tocco Tenero pouch worth $69.
There was something for shoppers, too. Those who spent at least $100 in a single receipt at the fair were eligible for a sure-win lucky dip, with prizes worth up to $5,000. Four people who spent at least $200 in one receipt also scored a Dual Swing Refrigerator from Sharp’s Butterfly Series, worth $899, in the grand draw.
Visitors to the three-day fair had a chance to check out other exhibitors, including A. Menarini, Advanced Nutraceutical, Spa Club at Beach Road, CLS Touche, Fitness First, Jyunka, Philips, Tocco Toscano, Bliss Bridal Creations, Bridal Concept, The Feline Bridal, French Wedding, My Dream Wedding, White Link, Yvonne Creative and Yu Xuan Men.
Two beauty demonstrations – by Jyunka and Alpha Luma from Advanced Nutraceutical – as well as two marriage workshops were also presented.
