BEFORE Janice has thick, natural curls, which she’d rebonded. Her hair also had a yellowish-brown tint. “I like to be adventurous with my hairstyle but I also need to look appropriate for a corporate environment.”

AFTER June Ng, styling director from J’s Salon, gave Janice a perm so that when her natural curls grow out, she won’t have a half-straight, half-wavy look. Most salons do not advise perming rebonded hair, but June explains that the salon’s signature perm, Ripples of Romance, can do just that.

June gave Janice a concave bob, with smaller curls at her nape and bigger curls throughout. She adds: “This mix of curls gives Janice’s hair more structure and personality.” June also gave Janice’s tresses a refreshing reddish tone to suit her skin. “I love the volume and colour! The

curls are so glamorous but the style is kept modern and chic with the gorgeous deep red colour.”
