FRINGE BENEFITS

Simply Her (Singapore) - - Beauty -

Lim Tsiao Hui, 39, consumer and lifestyle editor BEFORE She has natural waves, and has always kept to short hair and a side-swept fringe. “My hairstyle didn’t have any personality,” says Tsiao Hui. AFTER Joel Phua, hairstylist from Urbanhair Ginrich Aveda, gave Tsiao Hui a blunt fringe to make her look more youthful. He adds: “I followed the way her hair grows so that its slightly wavy texture wouldn’t make it curl out awkwardly, giving her a graduated bob to make her face look sharper.” To brighten her skin tone, Joel also added patches of bright colour to one side of her hair.

“I like that my hair doesn’t stick out randomly like it did before, and that it looks more interesting now.”
