Getting Up and About
Outdoor sports don’t have to be elaborate or expensive. Here are some fun, easy activities you can start doing as a family.
1 TOSSING A FRISBEE
It’s portable, affordable and provides a total body workout. Getting the hang of throwing a frisbee properly takes a while, but it’s easy enough for younger kids to pick up.
2 FLYING A KITE
Kite-flying has a surprising fitness factor – core and balance training. Besides Marina Barrage, you can launch a kite at practically any park here.
3 CAPTAIN’S BALL
Similar to netball but without so many rules, this cardio activity is great for outings with the extended family; kids and adults can play together and learn to work as a team, too.
