GREEN PAN 32CM NON-STICK WOK $199, from Tangs USING IT The two short, insulated handles weren’t hot to the touch during cooking, but it was hard to tilt the wok to get food out. It didn’t feel too wide or too heavy to manage, but the walls were too low – there were lots of oil splatters and bits of rice flying out of the wok. PERFORMANCE It took minimal effort to sponge away the residue of the omelette on the non-oiled wok. The fish had a springy bite and even colour, while the rice was flavourful. The vegetables also retained their colour and crunch well. VERDICT It’s not the most ergonomic design, but it cooks food well and the short handles make it easier to wash than the ones with long handles.
