Only two vac­cines are li­censed for use in Sin­ga­pore – Cer­varix and Gar­dasil. In­jec­tions are given in the up­per arm. You get three doses over a min­i­mum pe­riod of six months. Com­mon side ef­fects in­clude tem­po­rary sore­ness, red­ness and itch­ing at the in­jec­tion site. Headaches or fever may also oc­cur. If you’re 26 years old and be­low, you can use up to $400 a year from your Medis­ave ac­count to pay for an HPV vac­ci­na­tion.
