Simply Her (Singapore) - - Smartshopper Road Test -

From $192,888, from Borneo Motors Singapore Fuel consumption: 8.9 litres/100km Main safety features: Seven SRS airbags, ABS, EBD, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), traction control. Family-friendly features: Conversation mirror, auto-dim rear view mirror, auto headlamps. This people mover outperforms the rest – pickup is quick and agile and it climbs slopes with ease. Pity about its modest boot space and lack of standout features. THUMBS UP FOR: • It edged out the Honda Odyssey slightly for the smoothest and most enjoyable drive. Pickup was fast and quiet, and it climbed hills effortlessly. Whether cruising on the PIE or plodding along Genting Lane, it switched gears seamlessly. • It was nifty when taking corners, making U-turns and reversing.

Neither oversensitive nor clumsy, it was effortless to manoeuvre. • Although the windscreen isn’t as large as those of the other cars, it gives a good lateral view so you won’t miss kerbside pedestrians at zebra crossings. Like the Elgrand, it has two small mirrors under its left side one.

Good passengerfriendly features: Handles by the door make getting out of the car easier, and foot pedals at the back of the second-row seats make it less tricky to move them forward.
