FOR EATING: Navel oranges. Sweet and very fleshy, they have a thick skin that is easy to peel. If you prefer oranges with a slight tang, try the Cara Cara variety, a type of navel orange with pinkish-red flesh.
FOR JUICING: Valencia oranges. They are sweet but less pulpy than navel oranges. Pick heavier ones – weight is a good indication of how juicy a fruit is.
