The National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) serves as a national and regional referral centre for cardiovascular diseases. “For women who develop IHD, the NHCS assesses their risk of heart attack by conducting investigations like stress testing and evaluating heart function. NHCS also gives advice on lifestyle changes and provides patients with optimal medical treatment,” Prof Chin shares.
“For higher-risk individuals, NHCS doctors can perform procedures, such as percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass graft surgery, to restore blood flow to the heart.”
If you suspect you might be suffering from heart disease, don’t hesitate to make an appointment with your doctor.
