Mother’s Day

The edi­tor’s note about Mother’s Day in the May is­sue re­minded me of what my mum told me when I had my rst child: “Plan your time prop­erly and when the baby is awake, all you need to do is be with her, as you would have al­ready done what you needed to do.” I didn’t have a helper then and had to take care of things on my own af­ter my conne­ment pe­riod. I fol­lowed mum’s ad­vice and it turned out to be one of the best things she’s taught me – so I’d like to share it with all new mums and mums-to-be. Karen Ho-Chan Af­ter read­ing the Su­per­charge Your Diet ar­ti­cle in the April is­sue, I can’t agree more with the ad­vice you gave on nu­tri­ent pow­er­houses. I plan to try your tip on adding one ta­ble­spoon of chia seeds to a glass of wa­ter for a quick en­ergy boost, to reap the benets of th­ese tiny but pow­er­ful seeds. I’ve also started hav­ing peanuts and al­monds as snacks, and I no­ticed an im­prove­ment in my con­cen­tra­tion and en­ergy level at work. Thank you for pick­ing th­ese nu­tri­tious foods for me!
