First, they in­tro­duce a dif­fer­ent pack­age of per­for­mance qual­i­ties from the cur­rent com­mon tech­nolo­gies or prod­ucts (un­der­per­form­ing the cur­rent ones). Sec­ond, they ini­tially tar­get small niche mar­kets or cus­tomers.
