In this is­sue we bring you our an­nual Asian Art Re­port, where we found out how mar­ket play­ers are look­ing to Asia for re­newed growth amidst de­clin­ing global art sales. What’s in­ter­est­ing to note is that in 2016, 31% of what Christie’s sold world­wide went to Asian buy­ers. More in­ter­est­ingly, of the top 10 works sold by Sotheby’s last year, half were pur­chased by buy­ers from Asia.

We also looked at what’s hap­pen­ing in Sin­ga­pore’s merg­ers & ac­qui­si­tions space, and which deals wowed us in the past year. For one of our sec­tor re­ports we talked to real es­tate agen­cies and dis­cov­ered how they are turn­ing to Uber-like tech­nol­ogy to stay in busi­ness. These days it’s all about tech tools.
