Wall Coverings
With walls taking up a significant amount of visual space in your home, it is definitely worthwhile to take extra care in picking out the right tone and style of wall covering.
The most common option, paint comes in an endless palette of colours and finishes, including decorative marbleising, stone and faux leather. In our tropical humidity, paint has the added bonus of being mould and mildew resistant. Chalkboard paint is a fun alternative for the study, the kitchen, or for the kids.
Wallpapers offer a wide range of designs, patterns and textures, and are useful for covering wall cracks and discolouration. Wall tiles are highly durable and easy to clean, and come in a variety of materials. For a softer covering, fabrics are great for interior soundproofing, but are difficult to maintain. Wood panelling is also costlier, but offers an enviably refined and organic look.
