The Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux features a wonderfully innovative take on its signature Mystery movement

Under the tutelage of head watchmaker Carole Forestier-kasapi, Cartier has consistently upped the ante of its haute horlogerie offerings, reinventing the wheels of innovation time and again. Her team’s skills are demonstrated with the Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux, a reinvented avatar of Cartier’s iconic Mystery watch. The entire movement, including the escapement, gear train, balance wheel and barrel, sits on a plate of sapphire crystal, and rotates by the hour. It’s a mesmerising ballet of poetry and technical ingenuity. The watch is limited to 100 pieces in palladium.
