Restaurant reviews – Hong Kong
This split-level restaurant and bar, the third project in the city by Jason Atherton and Yenn Wong, offers casual fine dining in PMQ, Hong Kong’s new cultural hub.
The ground-floor bar is ideal for drinks before or after a meal and, in fair weather, the alfresco terrace is great to lounge in.
• The raw Hokkaido scallops with dashi jelly, apple, shiso, avocado and wasabi blend fresh Japanese ingredients with a contemporary British visual style.
• Another winning seafood dish is the quirkily titled CLT, fusing oceanic crabmeat with lightly soused tomatoes and crisp, fresh little-gem lettuce.
• The roasted corn dessert served with caramel popcorn, dorayaki, cherry and shiso is a fantastic combination of sweetness, acidity, and nuttiness. PMQ, G/F, 35 Aberdeen Street, Central中環鴨巴甸街35號PMQ元創方地下TEL: +852 2866 0300 www.aberdeenstreetsocial.hk
