WHY GO

The hardworking chef of Okra is an energetic young American who has an extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine. The restaurant has a warm and lively atmosphere which appeals to regular and new diners.

TATLER TIPS

The restaurant’s interior is simple but it has a modern feel to it with its choice of furniture and music playing in the background. There’s also a mini cocktail bar and sushi bar where you can witness the chef preparing his signature dishes.

The restaurant is named after okra, a healthy ingredient which is used in most of the chef's signature dishes.

One of the chef’s specialties is sushi, a simple Japanese delicacy with robust flavours. Beautiful in its simplicity, this reflects the chef’s culinary philosophy of highlighting the freshness of the ingredients. 1949 the Hidden City, Courtyard 4, Gongtibei ROAD, Beijing TEL:010-6593 5087 www.okra1949.com
