Although a little out of the way for those who do not drive, the excellent food and service here is well worth your journey.
During the cooler seasons, ask for one of the tables outside. With al fresco dining, you’ll have a better view, ventilation and the unique experience of having your dinner by the boats. The wonton soup is exceptional, a must-try. Highly recommended, the Blue Lotus signature chilli pomelo crab does away with the cloyingly sweet tomatoand-chilli-sauce base that other local chilli crabs use. Another stand out dish, the wok-fried Kagoshima wagyu beef tenderloin with peppercorn, onions and chives, arrives perfectly juicy and redolent with smoky, aromatic and peppery flavours. Crispy salmon skin with salted egg yolk is utterly addictive.
