THEME & CONCEPT

Singapore Tatler Wedding - - DREAMS -

On their vision for their big day, Gloria says, “We wanted the event to invite everyone to step out of their mundane everyday life to truly celebrate love and create new adventures and memories.”

The solemnisation ceremony took place in September 2016 at a sprawling Ridley Park residence, which was decked out in blue, white and navy, with plenty of flowers and fairy lights. Live ribeye carving and prata stations, as well as a dessert table by Little House of Dreams fuelled conversations. The bride wore a Romona Keveza toga gown from Belle & Tulle Bridal while the groom was spiffy in a three-piece suit from Boss.

Two months later, the couple were in a Rolls-Royce Ghost on the way to The RitzCarlton, Millenia Singapore for a Great Gatsby-style fete to mark their union. Evoking the splendour of the 1920s, a navy and gold colour palette was used in the ballroom decor and seen in everything from the stage backdrop to table runners. To bring out the decadence of The Great Gatsby, large feather sprays were used in the table centrepieces, at the bar counters and in stage decorations. The five-tiered cake bore the colour contrasts and geometric and angular shapes unique to 1920s Art Deco designs. Seven bridesmaids donned navy dresses while the groomsmen sported black suits and black ties.

A strings trio played as guests imbibed cocktails, nibbled canapes and took fun snaps. Just as American author F Scott Fitzgerald’s novel would be incomplete without liquor-fuelled backdrops, this party indulged guests with bespoke cocktails by Elite Bar Solutions. For favours, the couple presented luggage tags.
