Scuba, nylon roping and neon accents. Singapore Tatler’s contributing fashion director Desmond Lim took three groups of stylistas through the beach-themed women’s and men’s spring/ summer collections by Dsquared2 in April. Even as he called their attention to unexpected detailing in pieces and explained his styling choices, many ladies were already itching to hit the changing room with pieces that caught their eyes. Leather biker jackets were popular picks, but distressed denim and bandage jeans were the surprise hits of the day, selling out before the day was over. Dubiety melted into disbelief as ladies, persuaded by Desmond to try on men’s tuxedo shirts, fell in love with the sexy, edgy vibe as he tucked them into those high-waisted jeans.
