To recog­nise the es­tab­lish­ments who strive to pro­mote wine cul­ture and raise the bar in food and wine of­fer­ings, Wine & Dine magazine and the Som­me­lier As­so­ci­a­tion of Sin­ga­pore in­vited restau­rants to par­tic­i­pate in the Wine List Awards. The awards are of­fered in grades of Gold, Sil­ver and Bronze. To qual­ify for award con­sid­er­a­tion, the es­tab­lish­ment's wine list must have a min­i­mum of 50 wines.

Eval­u­a­tion of the wine lists sub­mit­ted was con­ducted by pan­el­lists from Wine & Dine and the Som­me­lier As­so­ci­a­tion of Sin­ga­pore. The en­tries were judged on a wide va­ri­ety of fac­tors in­clud­ing size of the list, suit­abil­ity of wine styles for the restau­rant's cui­sine, breadth of pro­duc­ers, price range and the wine-by-glass pro­gramme.
