Din­ner at Bayswa­ter Kitchen is a whim­si­cal, cheer­ful af­fair. Get an al fresco ta­ble, prefer­ably by the wa­ter’s edge, and get ready to en­joy seafood cooked in imag­i­na­tive ways.

The light, savoury whipped cod roe served with crisp flat­bread makes for a very en­joy­able starter. For mains, have the beer bat­tered cod with shoe­string pota­toes, served with sur­pris­ingly scrump­tious crushed peas. An­other crowd pleaser is the grilled fillet of red bass com­ple­mented with clams, tangy ca­pers and salty sam­phire in a cream sauce.

Other dishes to keep in mind are Fish­er­man’s Feast and the yo­ghurt panna cotta. The ser­vice from the se­nior staff is warm and friendly, and the meal is well-paced. That the prices are af­ford­able is a nice bonus.
