Desmond Sim

Desmond Sim is an award-winning playwright and a Peranakan painter who has worn many professional hats. But the one job he relished best was being duty manager of an in-flight kitchen pushing out 15,000 meals—from economy to first-class fare—for 54 airlines. This job spurred Desmond’s love for good food; he has been reviewing restaurants for the past six years and still loves cooking Peranakan food for the family.
