FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The owner of exquisite timepieces such as the Lange 1 Time Zone in A. Lange & Sohne’s proprietary honey gold, Dr Christopher Khng was “immediately drawn” to the brand’s 1815 Annual Calendar when he set eyes on the automatic watch. “It is absolutely stunning. I really like the useful complications of day, date, month, moonphase and annual calendar.”

IN THE DETAILS

“The details on this watch speak of quality, and well thought-out design. For example, if one needs to adjust the time, date, day, month and moonphase after a period of non-use, it would be simple to do so because the watch has a function where, after adjusting the time, one just needs to press a pusher that will simultaneously advance the day, date, month and moonphase accordingly. It looks good from every angle. One thing I enjoy with every Lange watch is to turn it over and admire the well-finished details of the movement.”

WEARS WELL

“It wears really nicely on the wrist, with wonderful presence, and, like the other Lange watches I own, is really comfortable. Despite the number of complications the movement houses, the 1815 Annual Calendar is quite slim (with a thickness of 10.1mm). The blued hands set against the argente dial and rose gold case – magnifique!”
